Our Mission

Type Electives is an online design school shaping the future of type.

We work to build a more inclusive and equitable design landscape by expanding access to specialized type education and creating thoughtful spaces to engage with type as both culture and industry. Founded in 2022, we are a growing global community of lifelong learners, educators, and artists committed to learning, sharing, and shaping the future of type together.

Funds one full term of our free, community-centered lecture series. Each term includes about five sessions and reaches an international audience of emerging designers, students, and creative practitioners.
